Welcome to The Shannon Mosher Memorial Foundation, Inc. ("Foundation") website. By accessing the various links on this site, it is our desire that you will be enlightened, encouraged, as well as challenged by Shannon's story...to the point of getting actively involved in the battle against leukemia and helping to ensure that future patients needing a bone marrow transplant will have a greater opportunity for long-term survival.

Sadly, Shannon is a statistic. She is one of the 21,700 people who the American Cancer Society projected would die of leukemia during the year 2000; this number of deaths is 70% of the total 30,800 new cases of leukemia projected for this year in the United States. This is an unacceptable rate!!

But Shannon is so much more than a statistic; she was an inspiration to thousands of people who followed her story. You will have the opportunity to learn first hand about Shannon and the struggles she and her family endured during her 15 month battle with leukemia. You will learn about the mission of the Foundation and what you can do to help, financially and otherwise.

Because of Shannon's battle and her heartfelt desire to do something to help others who face this disease, the Foundation is committed to honoring her life as we address three primary needs by increasing the funding for leukemia and bone marrow transplant scientific research; by increasing the number of bone marrow donors on the national registries; and by assisting individual leukemia patients and their families.

Join our "SALT & LIGHT" crusade and become a bone marrow donor...Save A Life Tomorrow so that others may Live In Great Hope Today.
